Community Roadsafe Mildura is a VicRoads funded initiative aiming to keep the roads safer for people in and around Mildura.

 

VicRoads has established the Victorian Community Road Safety Partnership Program (VCRSPP) to set out co-operative arrangements to further the objectives of improved road safety and reducing deaths and injuries.

 

VicRoads objectives include:

(a)          to ensure, in collaboration with other transport bodies and public entities, to improve the safety of the road system for road users and seek to reduce deaths and injuries; and

(b)          to lead in the development and implementation of strategic and operational policies and plans to improve the safety of the road system for all users.

 

Community Roadsafe Mildura is governed by a Committee made up of community and transport members including Mildura Rural City Council and Victorian Police, members of SunBug (Bicycle Users Group), Motorcycle riding Clubs, and heavy transport.
